Why I Write

I just want to disappear,
I want to go far from here.
Of all the one's that I'm supposed to trust,
Most leave me in the dust.

I haven't felt this way in some time.
The only way to release is through rhyme.
The flow of words helps me see,
The things going on all around me.

Words flow freely through my mind.
So many options, all one of a kind.
But only one makes the poem seem right,
Releasing my vision in what I write.

This is all that's keeping me straight.
Trying to push away all the weight.
Just finish the work in a memorable way,
Screw the problems, just breakaway.

This is why I write.
